Who do you want to be?
That question bothers me since weeks.
In this case (and in most of all other cases), YouTube hammered this question into my head. It is actually my main source of inspiration next to Unsplash.
The work of one even brought me to write this text. I am sure he will get you thinking as well if you follow the link.
Both pages display the bundled talent of creators from all over the world. This impresses me. The fact that, that these guys and girls took their ideas and produced results, is even more impressive.
Having ideas is kind of simple but forming a plan and execute this to get the results is the hardest process ever.
The worst enemy of creators
Let me introduce you to the evil. He’s sleeping in every person. You can interrupt his light sleep with good ideas and drive to achieve something great.
Once awaken, he can force you to spent hours at tasks that you normally complete minutes. The fact that he can skyrocket your desire to finish less important tasks is even worse.
He listens to the name Procrastination.
Writing this gave me a shiver. From now on we should call him “You-Know-Who” not to wake him up.
He’s the guy we all have to beat. And let me tell you he has powerful weapons. Facebook, Instagram the unnecessary task of cleaning your desk twice a day are just some of them.
And now let me tell you the most frightening fact. He is a part of you.
In the last month, I hindered myself on writing this text. I also couldn’t finish my first training script or YouTube video either.
This dude is good…
You are the only one who can beat him. No one can help. At the end, the only person you can blame is you.
Project life will be my personal tool of choice to get things done and to show you what I learned on the way.
I’m the guy who gets all his energy from structure and plans. If a plan makes sense I’m way more likely to execute and not to find excuses.
This will from now on be the place where I write down what I want to achieve, how I want to achieve this and if I failed or not.
I want to keep this section short and precise.
Fewer thoughts mean less distraction.
My goal, maybe you can even call it #Lifegoal is to enjoy the time I’m present as much as possible.
And the time I enjoy the most is travelling. Nothing ever gave me a greater feeling than driving through Vietnam on my lovely Honda Win.
South America is my next destination of choice. I feel better in countries where vitamin D supplementation is not a necessity.
Besides this I enjoy taking photos, producing videos and writing texts. Sounds like I could be a great digital nomad tho ;).
So, the goals are crystal clear, nothing easier than that. But how to achieve them…
I try to break it down into smaller pieces.
I know, nobody likes this topic except for business students. It still has to be addressed.
For now, Patreon is our only source of income. Well “income”. Five dollars per month to be precise..
We are currently creating training guides. Unique training guides. And we have high expectations in our own work. This might bring five dollars more..
But.. For now, there is no way around finding a job here in Copenhagen next to my studies.
To create videos with a real value it is necessary to improve my premiere pro skills.
My main focus in regards to self-improvement lays, as always, on physical abilities. I want to achieve the one-hand handstand and a bunch of other gymnastic movements.
Besides this, there is a board of personal records in my gym. The numbers of weight lifted are incredible! Anyways, I want to get my name on this board somehow.
Travelling to South America has another sweet side effect. Fluent Spanish would be nice though.
I think that is pretty much it. Easy peasy, not!
What has to done:
- Find a job in Copenhagen
- Improve my training result
- Write the best training guides
- Make your first YouTube video
- A new camera
All this while I should keep reminding me to enjoy life.
Well, that’s a lot…
I try to break it down into different categories..I told you that I like structure.
You will find all my progress in the project life part of the website and hopefully on YouTube too 😉
The five categories (At least for now):
- Project life, general thoughts and progress
- South America, how to make it possible to travel long-term
- Training skills, how to achieve any physical ability
- Copenhagen blog, how to get the best out of your stay in Denmark
- Editing skills, how to make create the coolest things
Enough words spent. I think you now roughly know what I want to achieve. It was actually important to write this down once. Now I can focus on finding a job.
Let’s see how good I am in achieving what I stated.
My name is Till and welcome to Project Life!
